iLL BLU announce debut mixtape THE BLUPRiNT

Multi-faceted London production duo iLL BLU have announced their eagerly anticipated debut mixtape ‘THE BLUPRiNT’ will be released on 2nd April 2021. In line with the announcement the pair have also dropped instant grat track ‘Nah’ featuring DJ Win & Zeph as a free download when you pre-order the album - the track is a bold display of iLL BLU’s production abilities and gives listeners a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming project.

‘THE BLUPRiNT’ showcases iLL BLU’s sonic diversity and will feature previously released singles including ‘Chop My Money’ ft Krept & Konan, Loski & ZieZie, ‘Magic’ ft. OFB (Bandokay & Double Lz) and ‘Dumpa’ ft. M24 & Unknown T which have seen playlist adds at BBC 1Xtra and chart positions in the Official UK singles chart. The project will also include collabs with some of the freshest UK talent, with features from Wretch 32, Donae’o, Central Cee, MoStack, ZieZie, Sneakbo and more.

Speaking about the release iLL BLU have said: ‘The BLUPRiNT is a musical journey that documents an 11 Year story of the continuous vibes we have invigorated to the people on the dance floor’.

The announcement follows the release of iLL BLU’s single ‘Routine Check 2.0’ which was accompanied by a powerful documentary ‘The Routine Check Documentary’ where key British cultural figures including rapper/podcaster Margs, DJ/presenter Joey Clipstar, Mentivity founder Sayce Holmes spoke about their experiences with police, systemic racism and racial profiling.

Since 2008, iLL BLU have continued to push the envelope and have garnered over 50 million streams on Spotify alone. The duo were the masterminds behind “Chop My Money” ft Krept & Konan, ZieZie and Loski and have been working with the likes of Geko, JP Cooper, Not3s, Headie One, IAMDDB and Young T & Bugsey. Along with this the pair have worked closely with MoStack on his hit singles ‘Liar Liar’ and ‘What I Wanna’ as well as producing 9 tracks on his certified Silver ‘Stacko’ album which reached #3 in the UK charts including ‘Shine Girl’ ft. Stormzy. The producers have gone far beyond their UK Funky origins, branching out across the scene to become a staple name in UK rap and drill.
