Emerging band WARGASM release latest track “PYRO PYRO” out now.
Written by Milkie Way and Sam Matlock, the track explores the side effects of separation and isolation. Speaking on the track WARGASM explain, ‘‘WE’RE ALL STARTING TO GET A LITTLE PSYCHO PYSCHO - we’re all feeing it. Don’t lie to yourself, you know what we mean.
To pass the time we found ourselves watching a documentary on how Grimes uses laser shots from games and gunshots to build her beats and decided to do the same. It sounded scatty, pissy and lost - I guess that’s how the lyrics came about. This claustrophobic feeling of separation sickness and asphyxiation is really getting to some of us. We hope people enjoy the lyrics. It’s nicer screaming into the void, if you can picture the void screaming back.’’
The track is the B-side partner to “YOUR PATRON SAINTS” whos release came alongside the announcement of their biggest headline show to date at Camden’s Underworld. The show will take place on 10th September. The band will also perform at Download’s Pilot Festival on Saturday 19th June.
The band is formed by Irish international model Milkie Way and Sam Matlock, a D.I.Y veteran. WARGASM is the encounter between two strong personalities that can be compared to fighting fire with fire. They met at a concert in Camden at the beginnings of 2019 and after that day, something special and magical was born. 2020 saw the bands track ‘God of War’ become the official theme song for WWE’s NXT UK. Just over a year old WARGASM fans include Yungblud and Hayley Williams and have received praise from NME, Revolver, Upset and more.
2021 sees the band support Yungblud and Creeper in their rescheduled shows in August and December respectively. See live dates below, stay tuned for more from WARGASM
