In the mood for some dance floor vibes? Then we have just the remedy as we share our excitement for Adam Noveillo’s brand new single Fumbling. Based in Australia, the non-binary artist has quietly but confidently been sharing a mixture of great music over the past couple of years, with Fumbling being the latest stepping stone in Adam’s incredible journey.
What I like about this song, it has a early 2000’s aura to it, mixed with Adam’s 2023 modern day boost, making it feel both refreshing and nostalgic as a dance track. Lyrically I love how Adam has put honesty and openness at the core of Fumbling, as Adam puts heart on sleeve but in quite an empowering way.
For instance at the very start we are greeted with powerful lyrics ‘anxious for the drag show, dance all night like a hoe, trying to let it all go, for now I am feeling so so, anxious I am a no show, dancing out till I blow, tomorrow is a time to go, even though I am feeling so so’. As a songwriter Adam is not beating around the bush, and is instead taking all those thoughts that go inside the mind, the doubts, the reservations, even the nervousness of life and acknowledging them for what they are. We can all learn a lesson or two from this style of thinking, and there is actually something quite comforting about hearing these words being expressed via a song like Fumbling.
Other things I love about Fumbling, the moments I view as sheer gold dust are some of those high notes which we can pick up on at different stages of this song. Adam is really pushing all that energy within and I can quite honestly say these are some of the best vocals I have ever heard.
For too long society has been trapped by the need to conform, where everything has always felt so linear, but the good news is that we are living in a time where through music especially we are able to enjoy tracks like Fumbling where artists like Adam Novellio are adding some much needed colour to our lives. Available on all major platform be sure to show Fumbling the love that it truly deserves.
