Bre Kennedy - Hello

Nashville singer-songwriter Bre Kennedy returns with her brand new single Hello which was released on 13th October 2023, and from first impressions is one of the most fun and liberating songs about you will ever listen to.

The moment I first pressed that play button I found everything about the song so engaging, and for anyone who feels like they are stuck inside their heads, this song can act as a breaking out of that shell so a place where you can finally feel a sense of freedom.

When I took the opportunity to listen even more closely to the lyrics it made me fall inlove the song even more, especially because it is so open and honest - something I absolute love seeing because as a music fan it makes me want to connect with the music even more.

Take this verse for example:

‘It's funny how a memory,

Doesn't even look like me,

I guess that's all the proof I'm needin',

Maybe everything I've been waitin' for,

Was waitin' on me to finally close the door,

And dive through

And so I try to.’

As a listener not only can I here a verse like that and it sparks a chord inside my mind, but equally is something I can appreciate as a good piece of songwriting from Bre Kennedy as she is just speaking from the mind, unfiltered and real.

If you listen a little further on in the song there is an extra nice twist in the shape of some beautiful spoken word from Jake Wesley Rogers who has a cameo appearance to add a little bit of an extra edge to what is already a very powerful song.

What I love about Hello is that is also comes with its own music video, and i think it really compliments the narrative of the song, with the two visuals and song working together in perfect correlation.

For me I can see Hello being the perfect pick me up song whenever I need that motivation or those words of encouragement when my mind trying to get to grips with my own internal monologue. Bre Kennedy is definitely one to watch out for especially if she is creating awesome songs like this, so don’t keep her waiting and say Hello to her brand new track today!
