Cami Brooks - 50 Roses

It has only been out for less than a week, but oh my days I cannot tell you how much I have been enjoying the vibe of Cami Brooks new single, 50 Roses. I kid you not, I have probably had the song on repeat multiple times just because of how easy it is to listen to but also based on the sheer honesty of Cami as a singer-songwriter.

Sometimes you will find that when it comes to matters of the heart, with it being such a personal experience for each and everyone of us, the easy option would be to shy away from even talk about it. Where Cami Brooks is different is the impression I get especially from 50 Roses is she has no problem with saying it how it is and just speaking out from a place of honesty. For me that makes her as an artist and this song in particular even more endearing.

There is a part of my mind just listening and thinking ‘you go girl!’ because there are touches of sass and there is another part of my mind, based on the narrative and subject matter of 50 Roses, where you say out loud ‘Amen to that sista!’. I think it is important to note that regardless of age, gender or anything else, 50 Roses despite being a dream pop track can still appeal to a wide range of people regardless of what your usual go to genre is.

I am intrigued to see what other amazing tunes that Cami Brooks has for us all in the months to come, but for now if you are wondering where to start your journey, then 50 Roses is the place to be.
