Carter James - Can’t Help Myself

Having released MOON SHOES earlier in the year, US based singer-songwriter and producer Carter James is back with his brand new single, Can’t Help Myself. If you are new to Carter then one thing which makes him such a special artist is his ability to introduce a variety of abstract ideas to the context of a song, but giving the right amount of balance which helps to keep us listeners engaged. He is an songwriter who thinks outside of the box which I just love.

In terms of Can’t Help Myself, Carter takes us on a journey as he introduces us to a sad story of a robot, but one which lyrically is actually quite reflective because i guess the clever thing about this track is that it is an encouragement to look inwardly at ourselves making it actually honest but equally therapeutic to listen to.

As an independent artist Carter James has so much to offer, and I am so grateful I am able to enjoy tracks such as Can’t Help Myself because they are nuggets of goodness with creativity at the center making him such a stand out artist. I wait in anticipation to see what Carter releases next but more importantly I encourage absolutely everyone that you listen to Can’t Help Myself right now - it will be the decision you will ever make!
