If you love your indie rock as much as me, especially if you are into the likes of The Libertines and maybe even The Snuts, then you are going to love our latest recommendation - Dan Lyons & The Tenants.
Based in London, Dan has had a brilliant journey including his debut album. Having been working away behind the scenes Dan has finally been teasing us all to some of his latest bodies of work, one such track being Sleeping On A Dream which was released on 1st April 2022.
I have dipped in and out of Dan Lyons music in the past, through friends of friends, but for me Sleeping On A Dream is that track which has made me stop what I was doing and say out loud ‘what piece of bliss is this I hear’. I love this track so much and has the makings of those anthemic tracks which bring a crowd to life especially when played live. I am talking mosh pits, fists in the air and everyone dancing and singing along.
Lyrically I like how Dan is creating a native which feels poetic in a way, but still creates that level of relatability where you cannot help but find yourself warming to track even more. Sleeping On A Dream is the type of song that only a fool would keep to themselves, because you want to tell everyone about it. I must have told at least 10 people I knew within half an hour of listening to this song for the first time, telling people why they need Sleeping On A Dream and Dan Lyons & The Tenants in their life, coming across like I have just struck gold, but in truth this is what this song feels like.
I cannot wait to discover more of Dan Lyons & The Tenants material in the weeks and months to come, but for now I shall be continuing to listen to Sleeping On A Dream to my hearts content. So be part of the experience and make sure you check out the latest track right now.
