DEADSET - BLEAK

Hull based quarter DEADSET have released their latest single and music video BLEAK, which came out on 27th October 2023.

With a real gritty feel to it, this track is one of those which is not meant to be rushed, but instead savoured, as this will be only real way to embrace all the different layers and bursts of energy which the song has to offer.

What I really enjoy about listening to BLEAK that you can see the momentum building at the beginning which sets the scene nicely, part of the songs seduction, and when you least expect it taking things up a few gears, especially around the 2 minute 45 second mark, where you cannot just help but chant along to the words ‘get out of your head, get out of your head’.

The music video itself is also quite an interesting contrast when paired with the actual song because its almost like we are stepping into the mind of DEADSET, where at first it might all seem all so random, but in end it just causes you to become even more curious.

I can’t remember the last time I have heard any post-grunge, but DEADSET may very well be that voice in the wilderness summoning me back, and best of all BLEAK can be appreciated by anyone especially if you are into the likes of Soft Play, Inhaler or even Strange Bones. Go that extra mile and listen to BLEAK today!
