Dorian Gray - Souvenir

Swiss based artist Dorian Gray returns to the music scene with his brand new track Souvenir, the first teaser from his upcoming EP. This song sees Dorian entering into a new and exciting stage as he continues to grow in confidence as an artist.

The main thing that make Souvenir such a remarkable song is how he has given a whole new meaning to poetic songwriting, because this song has an abundance of emotion, heart and honesty in its purest form that really makes it such a stand out aesthetic feature of this song.

Some of my favourite lines include ‘imprisoning yourself in a sense of silence, avoiding years and years of strangled holds, surrounded by fakeness and a bunch of lies, don’t you hear the truth love’, because it feels like this unravelling moment where you can really visualise quite a magnificent narrative.

I think someone can listen to a song like Souvenir and see it as an invite to navigate through all those different thoughts we often have flowing back and forth in our mind, and I guess rather than running from them, standing still and starting the process of finding that moment of peacefulness.

The beauty of Souvenir is that no two listeners are ever the same, as we will each resonate with different elements of the song and interpret it in our own ways, and I think its that which makes Souvenir that all the more special.
