Elizabeth Liddle releases 'What I wouldn't Do'

Carole King, the biggest successful female songwriter in the latter half of the 20th century in the US to the distinctive soft musical sounds of sibling duo, The Carpenters and modern echos of billboards top selling Jazz artists of the 2000s, Norah Jones; these are just some of the inspirations that inspire and drives Elizabeth Liddle's curation of music.

Following two single releases earlier this year and off the back of her 70s female singer-songwriters inspired themed EP in 2022, Liddle carries this tradition on with the release of an orchestral/pop/soul love song, What I wouldn't Do.

Elizabeth, like her inspirations focuses the track with a gracious and almost heavenly piano melody whilst also bringing her "crystal clear vocals" as described by HMV to her mature lyricism throughout the song.

From chord structures that are comforting to a vocal performance that captures you in the song, comes an openness and vulnerability of acceptance throughout the love song. It's a nod to personal growth and insecurities felt within a relationship but one that also ultimately brings the acceptance of a relationship ending.

A very candid and personal 3rd release of 2023 for Liddle that like her previous works does not disappoint and adds an extra sense of growth and development within her songwriting and song structure ability. Truly radiant vocals complementing a poignant piece of artistry, What I wouldn't Do, is a song that should be heard and felt.
