Food Club - The Laying Song

Sometimes recommended for fans of the likes of Gwen Stefani, No Doubt and maybe those partial to a bit of Kesha, Food Club from the United States are new band in your life that you wish you had more of on a daily basis! Having released their latest track, The Laying Song earlier this month, the band have truly won my heart.

There are so many elements which make The Laying Song so fun, ranging from the positive energy you can feel throughout, the inviting vocals and lyrics which come from the heart and speak from the mind. I would not quite call it a love song as such, but if you are looking for something to play to your significant other to express how happy they make you feel as you appreciate all the small things in life.

I myself am quite the day dreamer, someone who loves just making the most of all that good energy as I reflect and watch the world pass me by. The Laying Song allows me to embrace that feeling even more. I try to be cautious when using this description, because there are a few who meet the criteria of what I would call a ‘dreamy’ band, but on this occasion I have no trouble in naming Food Club who are part of that select few who have made me warmed to their music in an instant.

At the time of writing this, I have no shame in admitting that I listened to The Laying Song for 30 minutes on repeat, may sound a bit excessive but hey only when you listen to the song yourself will you realise how addictive it can be, to the point where it goes from just being a random track you heard by chance, to something which pretty much becomes the soundtrack for your day ahead.
