Isabella Coulstock - Broken

First stepping onto the music scene when she was just 13 years ago, Kent based Isabella Coulstock has had quite a journey over these past 8 years having shared the stages with the likes of Jools Holland and Bob Harris as well as iconic band, The WHO during their recent tour.

Fast forward to 2023, at the age of 21, all the stars are aligned as she prepares to release her debut album. Helping to get us all in the mood, Isabella released her latest single Broken on 29th September 2023, and wow what an incredible song it is.

Every single aspect of this song is so wholesome, pure and full of life and for any first time Isabella fan, has everything you could ever wish for especially if your looking for a song which is capable of creating such a powerful and magnetic first impression then Broken will blow all those expectations out of the water.

Until this single, I had never come across Isabella Coulstock, and given just how much music we are exposed to in today’s age, as soon as I heard Broken for the very first time I had to stop what I was doing and Isabella and the song my full attention, like it truly deserved.

So what are the different elements which make Broken so special, firstly there is Isabella’s powerful and beautiful voice that just grabs your attention from the very start as she sings with such confidence and elevates the words of each line to a higher level. It actually feels extremely empowering to listen to, almost like a butterfly who has discovered it’s wings.

The lyrics and the songwriting are executed in a way where you find yourself aligning with the dialogue and narrative within the words of the song itself. It makes me appreciate Isabella’s style as a singer-songwriter even more.

When you combine all the elements mentioned above with the rhythm of the song, Broken is a song which has so much heart and soul to it, with Isabella very much at the centre. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity to listen to the song then don’t delay a second longer. Released on all major platforms the brand new single by Isabella Coulstock is available now.
