Jonathan Young - Drinking Blood

Released on the auspicious day of Friday 13th October, just in time for Halloween, Jonathan Young returns with his brand new track Drinking Blood released via Judge & Jury. If you know your labels then you will know that Judge & Jury have a reputation for leading the way when it comes to representing the hottest new comers in the world of music especially when it comes to metalcore, so having Jonathan Young part of that revolution is just so exciting.

I absolutely love this genre of music in general, but I can hand on heart say Drinking Blood is one of the best metalcore tracks I have heard in a long time as it is just fuel with the purest form of adrenaline throughout, with Jonathan’s slick vocals being the perfect cherry on top to bring everything together.

Lyrically there is a lot of depth, heart and soul, which makes it even more anthemic as a song and gives you plenty of opportunity throughout to sing at the top of your lungs to chorus ‘You scream, Armageddon, Hate like a drug, Hell or to heaven, You're not the judge, Hands getting dirty, Grave that you dug, Say I'm unworthy, At least I'm not drinking blood’, with a few ‘woah, woah, woah’ added in for good measure.

You can really tell that Jonathan Young is not holding back, and too right because Drinking Blood is a song which sees him put his best forward and showing the world what he does best, so this song will grab your attention as soon as you press that play button. I can already imagine how euphoric the atmosphere would be if ever I got to see this song performed live. Let’s hope its not too long till we have to wait for that moment to come.
