Luki - Summer Love Letters

Having previously released his track Memory Lane in 2021, Japanese Chinese American singer-songwriter Luki returns with his brand new single Summer Love Letters which was released on 9th May 2022. Everything about this song warms my heart, and is one of those special tracks which could easily go on to being the soundtrack of anyone's Summer 2022.

There are a number of things that make me fall head over heels in love with this track. Firstly there is the art behind the songwriting. As a lyricist, Luki strikes me as someone who has this ability to provide depth and meaning into his music, and articulate it in such a beautiful way which leaves you feeling full of butterflies. Lyrically the song is also so easily relatable which makes you drawn to it even more.

Another strength of Summer Love Letters is the actual vibe of the song itself, because it has this warm energy that regardless of how stressful your day is, can easily put you back in a good headspace and leave you feeling the love so to speak.

Given that this is only Luki first track since February of last year, it is good to see him back in action, because listening to this latest track it is evident that he has such remarkable potential, to give the likes of artists such as Jeremy Zucker, Lauv and even LANY a run for their money.

I can really see Summer Love Letters being one of those songs flourishing over the next few months, which only fills me with further curiosity as I wait in anticipation to see what other treats Luki has in store for all of us in embrace and enjoy next.
