LVCRFT Release 5th Album V

With the nights getting darker and spooky season just round the corner, we have the perfect and most addictive album to get you into the mood for Halloween in the form of the remarkable and super addictive album V by LVCRFT.

No strangers to the world of music, V is the fifth album and a perfect testimony of how the fire and the spirit of LVCRFT continues to burn bright thanks to the many talents of Grammy awarded songwriters Evan “Kidd” Bogart and Amanda “MNDR” Warner, and GRAMMY-awarded producer Peter Wade.

So light a candle, lock the windows and doors and grab those halloween sweets as we dig a little deeper into just some of the songs which make this latest album by LVCRFT that extra bit special.

The album begins with opening track Everyday Is Halloween which just helps set the scene, and I find with LVCRFT known for their love of pop, it adds an element of fun to the record which is quite playful and adaptable to anyone who dare listen. It didn’t take me long before I was singing along to the words ‘there is no way to run, there is no way to hide, everyday is halloween’. We have a few halloween themed special effects to help get us in the mood even more. As far as vocals go to I just love the vocals of Amanda Warner because they are inviting.

After a strong start we then move onto Burnin’ which is probably one of my favourite songs on the album, because it has the potential to be one the hugest and stand out pop tracks of 2023 sonically and lyrically. ‘Make me feel alive, I feel you’ just an example of some of the the beautiful words that form the DNA of this song and I just what makes the song writing so powerful is how easy it is to resonate to every single word of this track.

It would not be halloween without a good ol’ party, and well if your looking to get both your sass and dance moves then Bad Witches is a definite must, the perfect song for raising a glass or two when out with your friends. I couldn’t stop listening to this track on repeat because of just how it is such a freeing and positively uplifting song to listen to.

If you have followed LVCRFT for a while you will know by now that they do love collaborating, and in true fashion this album is no different as we are treated to fun and light hearted songs such as Purgatory which features Monte Revolta. It feels like a classic halloween song, and I love the humour Monte brings.

I am only a few songs into the record, and already I find myself so blessed to be listening to this album, as far as first impressions go, I am loving every single moment. If your looking a 2023 update to the Monster Mash, then Scream! (For Halloween) has so much on offer, and if you listen carefully also comes with its own choreographed dance - ‘Put your hands on your hips with a sinister stance, shake em back and forth like your Skeleton Sam, then turn to left and give us a shriek’ - who doesn't love a nice touch of interactivity in their music haha!

If you are wondering who Skeleton Sam is well what you might not realise when listening to this this album there is also a hidden story behind V as a whole which forms part of an underlying narrative staring Skeleton Sam on his quest to search for his one true love, Seraphina.

For anyone looking for something to sing at the top of the lungs, then one song I would definitely recommend is Never Be Alone, as it has such an infectious layer of energy just like any other song that this album features. Before I leave you to go away and discover the album yourself there is one other track I would recommend to any other music fan, namely `Feeling Like Halloween’ which again has all the elements of a mighty LVCRFT song.

Having worked my way through the entire album, I have to say I have enjoyed every part of this record, and I feel that V is a cut above a lot of the other records, with every single song being so strong from start to finish. So as I bring this article for a close, if there is one simple suggestion I would make, it’s to make sure you do not miss out on this ghoulish yet heartwarming album. V feels like like both the trick and the treat rolled into one!

Released on 29th September 2023, V is available now so be sure to check it out right now as good music and brilliant song writing come together to spoil you.
