Noak Hellsing Releases YESTERYEAR on 20th October 2023

Updated: Oct 17, 2023

After much anticipation, hard work and passion, Swedish singer-songwriter Noak Hellsing is days away from releasing his debut EP YESTERYEAR which comes out officially on 20th October 2023, and boy let me tell you, having had the privilege of having a sneak preview, I can hand on heart sat that ya’ll be in for a treat.

Consisting of 6 phenomenal tracks, this EP is so full of life and colour as Noak gives us his very best and is guaranteed to earn countless new fans as far as the eye can see. So without giving too much away, lets take a little closer look - don’t worry I don’t want to ruin the surprise so I will try avoid giving too many spoilers (promise haha).

The EP starts with opening track Get Real, and wow what a great start as it fills you with such positive feelings throughout. Listening to this song without smiling would be impossible, and the song itself is so infectious from start to finish. Advance warning - you better get those dancing shoes at the ready, because this song will have you on your feet. Get Real also has a bit of a jazz feel to it in parts which adds a bit of ‘glans’ as the Swedish say.

We then transitions nicely onto the second track Die Without Letting You Know, which other than really helping us to get even more of a grasp of what Noak is like as a songwriter, will also have you feel hooked. Noak is giving us his version of a love song and man it has the power to melt our hearts.

Each track on YESTERYEAR has its own story, with its own identity and character showing us all the different aspects of who Noak Hellsing is and all his different strengths brought together and elevated in this EP. So whether it be songwriting, the ability to make the listener feel a connection, to make you dance or even give you that encouragement and comfort, Noak Hellsing will deliver on all fronts.

Although as I love every single track on this EP, there is one which I would call a personal favourite worth looking out for, Break My Heart which is such a vulnerable and beautiful song and is just so healing and refreshing to listen to just due to how it comes from a place of purity and honesty.

As I look at YESTERYEAR as a whole, while their may be 6 tracks, they are the best 6 tracks you will ever hear and certainly put Noak Hellsing in a strong position to make him one the best artists of 2023 and beyond.

All that is left for me to say is to save the date, because when 20th October 2023 arrives, YESTERYEAR by Noak Hellsing will be the EP you do not want to miss!
