Ratyński - The Dancer by Andrew York

Time to take a moment to step back and appreciate something beautiful as we introduce you to Polish solo guitarist Ratyński and his recent rendition of The Dancer by Andrew York. Before going any further though, make sure you press play in the video above, as you read on to discovered just some of my thoughts about this sensational track.

If you are a fan of guitar based music this track will be such a joy to experience as via a music video we don’t get to just hear the music but witness Ratyński with nothing but himself and his guitar transform this song to life, and it actually leaves you speechless at its sheer beauty.

While it may sound like a simple stripped back song it also has such precision and intricacy to it where you just find yourself connecting to every strum of the guitar and every chord as Ratyński gives us just a glimpse of his craftsmanship. This becomes even more apparent around the 2 minute 20 second mark. It even got to the point where I closed my eyes and felt so relaxed as I felt myself really connecting to the song and embracing every detail.

Yes the song is over 5 minutes long, and contains no lyrics, just pure hardcore guitar bliss, but you know what this is actually a song I found myself pressing replay a good number of times. Would I recommend it to my friends and all you lovely readers - absolutely yes in a heart beat. You have heard what I had to say, go check out the masterpiece by the one and only Ratyński right now.
