Upto now, the name Raymond Revel was a name I had never heard before, but all that changed as soon as I heard his latest track Poetry In Motion which was released on 17th August 2022 via his own record label Raymond Revel Records.
How would I describe Poetry In Motion to my fellow first time listeners, well quite simply that it is hand on heart one of the most refreshing pieces of music you will ever hear. Music can sometimes tend to get a bit heavy at times especially when artists tackle a personal topic, but this song is the polar opposite, by giving us something which is easy to resonate too, still infused with plenty of depth and sterling song writing, yet upbeat and playful at the same time.
Sometimes life can get the better of us where we just feel trapped in our minds, trying to navigate our way between the noise and the hustle and bustle of those thoughts, but Poetry In Motion is somewhat like the much needed friendly voice that helps guide us out and leaves us feel more upbeat and gives us the confidence to smile again.
Vocally, I find Raymond Revel to be very softly spoken, but in a way which is actually quite soothing and creates such endearing music that you can easily listen to in any situation as you reflect and watch the world pass you by - every daydreamer's cup of tea.
I am curious to know what other tracks Raymond Revel will have in the pipe line in the days and weeks to come, but for now as I begin my journey to find out more about him, Poetry In Motion is a brilliant place to start. This is the type of song where I could tell you a hundred different reasons why its the must listen song till I am blue in the face, but I think in order for you to understand what makes this such special song, you need to experience it for yourself, and with the song already being out there in the world, there is no better time, so go check it out!
