Sierra Ferrell - Fox Hunt

Multi-talented West Virginia singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell has released her brand new single and music video to her latest song, Fox Hunt, which is honestly one of the beautiful and creative pieces of music I have witnessed in quite a long time.

The song itself has a really open and honest approach to it, and I just love the lyrics ‘as a hunter, I am trying to survive’, so when I hear Sierra singing it, I cannot help but sing along too. Other things I like about the song are that it has a stripped back feel to it, but where the beautifully played violins lead the way.

When you add the music video in too, well this just only further enhances the experience of listening to Fox Hunt as we get to witness more of Sierra’s ability to push the boundaries of creativity within her mind by producing a mesmerizing animated music video - with frogs playing the banjo and smoking a pipe, foxes playing the violin and psychedelic fruit and running carrots - what’s not to like. It might sound random but trust me once you watch it yourself it helps gives the song even more context, so you are able to fully give it the love it truly deserves.
