Springworks - Pocket Theory

Darkus

With news of their brand new album, Chapter Thieves on the horizons, David Beaman and Ryan Rollinson the duo behind Canadian based Springworks have been giving music fans a teaser of the new record in the shape of their brand new single Pocket Theory.

If you are brand new to their music, let me tell you this, the pair will leave you not just captiaved but also intrigued as Pocket Theory draws you from the very start, and create such a chilled and dreamy vibe on this track. Sonically, Pocket Theory as a song is quite intricate, and I love how both David and Ryan bring their individual strengths together to create a piece of music which is not just powerful but also similar to a piece of art. Combine that with the depth and exploration within the lyrics this elevates the song onto a higher dimension, which sparks that inner curiosity within our mind.

Admittedly, I have not heard of Springworks prior to this but nevertheless listening to Pocket Theory has grabbed my attention so much so, that I am loving what I am hearing, and feeling the vibe and the energy, as I increase the volume and embrace every element that makes such an iconic and refreshing song.

The back story of David and Ryan is that they met for the first time on a shared piano, and I thank the Lord that there paths coincided with one another, because you can really tell in something such as Pocket Theory that they have a huge love, respect and appreciation not just for their music, but one another as well. Listening to Pocket Theory only excites me more about eventually getting my hands on the brand new album Chapter Thieves, so I wait in anticipation as I count down the days for that special day to happen.

If you haven't had the opportunity to listen to their music yet, then I would say Pocket Theory is a perfect starting point, and one which certainly won’t disappoint. Released on 20th May 2022, all you have to do is press play and enjoy!
