Known for their strengths as storytellers, American based duo The FBR return with their brand new single Before I Drown. Centered around the theme of running from your demons, but finding comfort in other things which are equally just as harmful, this song is emotionally poignant as it sheds light on just some of the dark places we find ourselves sometimes in life.
For anyone who can resonate with a powerful song such as Before I Drown, although it does help you to face those raw and vulnerable feelings head on, and equally takes you to a place where you can just be real with yourself, not in a way where you feel angry or mad, but instead where you come to that crossroads in life and ask yourself - is this really where i want to be.
As you listen attentively to this song, front woman Malarie McConaha with support from fellow band member Tim Hunter approach such a tender theme from a place of love and respect, which makes you feel quite safe, regardless of how close to the bone it might feel at first.
Once you pass that threshold what you get is actually something which has the potential to be quite powerful and freeing, as this song feels like the solace you have been searching for to the point where you realise that regardless of how tough things have become, this does not have to be your lot in life.
As a whole, Before I Drown is not just your average song, but a narrative which possesses a so much substance in a way that adds a lot of value to someone's life. The only way to fully understand what that means is to hear the song for yourself, so be sure to take that step and listen to Before I Drown now.
