In our quest to discover some fresh and exciting new music, recently we were invited to check out the beautiful material by The Lovelines, a brother and sister duo from the US. Given that this was the first time I was listening to the duo, I was left absolutely captivated as I checked out their latest track ‘Dark Thoughts About A Pretty Flower’.

Looking at the title you may assume that this would be a quite dark track, but what instead you soon discover is that it has such a beautiful vibe to it. The vocals Tessa D are filled with such soul that it just makes you warm to the track even more, and combined with the skillfulness of half-brother Todd Goings, the song is elevated to another level, which leaves you wanting more.

If anything, this song has made me even more curious as a first time listener to know what else The Lovelines have to offer, because based on initial impressions of this track alone, I have a feeling that this brother and sister duo are soon going to be a popular favorite on many people’s playlists in the weeks and months to follow.
