The Planes - Snowman

If you are a fan of the likes of Weezer, Fountains of Wayne or American Hi-Fi, then you are definitely going to love our next recommendation. Hailing from Brooklyn, Indie rock band The Planes released their latest song Snowman on 15th September 2023.

Having been out a few weeks, I have enjoyed being able to listen to the song day in and day out, especially as I have really found it so special to get better acquainted with the fun and playful lyrics. For instance I absolutely adore the lines ‘I would like to meet the snowman in the morning sun, and ask him if he is moving to where the water runs’ because it brings out the curiosity and imagination in the mind of the listener.

I can seriously see The Planes being a band which brings out the inner day dreamer in me, and actually listening to something such as Snowman feels like a treat to yourself where you can take a moment to take a step back from the seriousness of adult life, living in the moment and enjoying good music that makes you smile.

Available on all major platforms, Snowman might seem like a wild card choice at first, but after a few listens it will become the track you can’t get enough of, so start that journey today!
