The Sarandons - The Great Divide

Canadian indie rock band will have you on your feet dancing along to their brand new track The Great Divide which came out on the the 13th October 2023. With their so much great indie rock on offer this year its easy to feel overwhelmed especially when a wide choice, so it brings a little smile when you hear such awesome songs as The Great Divide.

It has a little bit of a nostalgic feel to it which is a nod to the likes of Morrissey and Echo And The Bunnymen and it is the type of song which can only be truly enjoyed if you are singing along. Paying close attention to the lyrics too, with words such as ‘‘I don’t want to leave you baby, the hardest part is letting go’ The Great Divide is so open and honest, which actually adds value to the song as a whole as you have your moments where you can dance along, but also those moments which feel quite self-reflective.

Something I need to mention is that absolutely insane guitar solo around the 1 minute 55 mark, because it adds an extra edge by allowing us to see what The Sarandons are capable of when it comes to letting their music speak for itself.

If you haven’t listened to The Great Divide yet, especially if your a hardcore indie-rock fan, then adding this song to your collection is an absolute must.
