WILKES - Wanna Be Us

Sometimes described by a few as the Dr Seuss of music, American artist singer-songwriter WILKES is a name definitely worth looking out for, especially as his music is just so catchy, relatable, has plenty of rhythm and melody to keep you hooked.

On the 29th September 2023 this fun loving story teller released his latest single Wanna Be Us taken from his latest album which also was released on the same day, and wow on first impressions it sounds absolutely epic. If your looking for something which can serve as a much needed pick me up, put a spring in your step or go about your day with your held high, then this song is the perfect treat.

It is is also lyrically full of very empowering lyrics to help you add some much needed positivity such as ‘it’s not about winning the race, but who your running with’ or even ‘we can make a party out of drying paint, a dance battle without a song’.

The more I listen, the more energising and refreshed Wanna Be Us is making me feel, and it does not take me too long till I am also singing along to the chorus too. Being able to enjoy this song has made me excited to listen to the rest of the album, because if has similar hidden gems like this track, well I can imagine there are going to be a lot of VERY happy and grateful music fans singing the praises of WILKES for a very long time to come.
